Diego Gonzalez | Director of College Guidance & Alumni Advising

Diego joined Cristo Rey Dallas in 2015 and serves as the Director of College Guidance & Alumni Advising. In this role, he works with students and parents on a group and individual basis to gain an understanding of the college admissions and financial aid process, formalize partnerships with colleges and universities, and lead the college guidance and alumni advising department. Diego also teaches the 12th grade College Seminar course, serves as the CRD National Honor Society Adviser, and works closely with school leadership, faculty/staff, and CWSP to create a college-going culture on campus.

Diego graduated from Texas A&M University (WHOOP!) where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Certificate in College Advising from Columbia University. He is originally from Dallas, TX, and is the middle of 5 siblings. He enjoys spending time with family and friends, his two dogs, exercising, and traveling. 

Lucero Ramirez | College Guidance Counselor

Lucero serves as a College Guidance Counselor for Cristo Rey Dallas. In this role, she helps students explore and select a variety of colleges and universities based on their academic profile. Lucero has experience serving as a College Guidance Counselor at West Mesquite High School and at Thomas Jefferson High School. 

Lucero is a first-generation college graduate from Dallas and attended Texas A&M University, Class of 2020, earning a Bachelor of Science in USLA – Race, Gender, Ethnicity and a double minor in Environmental Geoscience and Latino/a Mexican American Studies. She loves supporting small businesses, especially local coffee shops because she is a barista herself. She graduated from North Mesquite High School in 2016 and enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her dog.
