Dear CRD Students and Families,
The Fire Volleyball Team is in the midst of an amazing season. In their toughest district yet they’ve matched up well and held their own in all of their games. They live up to their team motto “Heart Hustle Family” and are consistently putting in work as a unit to fight hard for every point. Throughout their season referees have approached them after tough matches three separate times to compliment them on their work ethic, spirit, and support of one another, they are making CRD proud. We are especially proud of our senior leaders on the team, Rebeca Milan, Liliana Zapata, Yocelin Becerra, Leilany Garcia, and Raina Evans. These five young women are crushing on the court, with amazing blocks, returns, serves, and kills, but never miss a moment to mentor and hype up the underclassmen. Come out and celebrate them for Senior night on October 18th as they take on Grace Community!

Queridos Estudiantes y Familias,
El equipo de Fire Volleyball está en medio de una temporada increíble. En su distrito más difícil, se han emparejado bien y se han mantenido firmes en todos sus juegos. Están a la altura del lema de su equipo “Heart Hustle Family” y trabajan constantemente como una unidad para luchar duro por cada punto. A lo largo de su temporada, los árbitros se han acercado a ellos después de partidos difíciles en tres ocasiones distintas para felicitarlos por su ética de trabajo, espíritu y apoyo mutuo, lo que enorgullece a CRD. Estamos especialmente orgullosos de nuestros líderes senior en el equipo, Rebeca Milán, Liliana Zapata, Yocelin Becerra, Leilany García y Raina Evans. Estas cinco mujeres jóvenes están aplastadas en la cancha, con asombrosos bloqueos, devoluciones, servicios y asesinatos, pero nunca pierden un momento para guiar y animar a los estudiantes de primer año. ¡Venga y celébrelos en la noche para personas mayores el 18 de octubre cuando se enfrenten a Grace Community!

The Family Partnership department at Cristo Rey Dallas is looking to expand the services currently offered to parents. One of the ways we are aiming to do this is by offering ESL classes specifically for CRD parents!
