Overview:
Cristo Rey Dallas College Prep is a Catholic, college preparatory school for students from households of low to moderate income. Cristo Rey Dallas nurtures and challenges young women and men of all faiths to recognize and realize their full potential as they grow to love God, respect others and serve their community. Each student participates in the Corporate Work Study Program which offers a weekly work study experience for all four years.
We are seeking a dedicated, intellectually curious and mission driven individual who is open to growth and wants to be part of our community. They will have the unique opportunity to help develop one of Dallas’s most promising educational options for young men and women from families with low to moderate income. Purpose:
Shuttle Drivers are members of the Transportation Team at Cristo Rey Dallas. Their primary responsibilities are to drive students to and from home and their CWSP jobs and extracurricular activities in a 15-passenger van.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Transporting teams of student workers to/from work in a 15-passenger van
- Communicate with our Corporate Work Study Program Department (CWSP) in the event of a safety concern, route obstacle, disciplinary issues, or emergency
- Serve as a liaison between students and the CWSP transportation team regarding student safety and feedback on their commute
- Transporting students to/from extracurricular activities in a 15-passenger van
- Substitute driving routes for our shuttle drivers in the event they are absent
- If applicable, Supervise 90+ students on their morning and afternoon commute via the DART
Qualifications:
- Comfort-ability communicating safety protocols with students
- Valid TEXAS driver’s license
- Documentation demonstrating a satisfactory driving record
- Available Monday – Friday, from 5:30 am – 10:30 am & 2 pm – 6:30 pm
- Familiar with using common cell phone devices (iPhone, Android) and navigation applications (Google Maps, Waze, Uber, Lyft, GPS tracker)
- Experience with local public transit as well as a willingness to learn new routes in the event an obstacle may arise

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
- Full-Time Role
- Regularly sit, talk, hear and interact with students, parents, staff and visitors
- Be able to occasionally lift up to 30 lbs
- Ability to safely drive a 15-passenger van
- Hours:
- Days vary by shift assigned
- Monday – Thurs: 5:30 AM-10 AM & 2:30 PM-6 PM
- Friday: 5:30 AM-10:30 AM & 1 PM-5 PM
