Dear CRD Students and Families,
This week we celebrated Teacher Appreciation Week. On behalf of everyone at CRD, I would like to express my deep gratitude to our teachers for the work they do each day to ensure the success of all our students.
Our teachers provide the high-quality instruction and support that our students need to graduate ready for college. They deliver culturally relevant and rigorous teaching and learning designed to keep our students engaged and on track.
We also know that our teachers do so much more. Our teachers coach sports, lead clubs, stay after school, and come on Saturday to tutor students. They attend prom, homecoming, and retreats, serve lunch when needed, and guide students in their spiritual journey at CRD. Our CRD teachers dance, laugh, and cheer along with your students. They serve as mentors and as a vital part of the support system to meet the needs of the whole child. They collaborate with parents and caregivers to keep families informed and contribute to a school climate that makes our students feel safe and valued.
Since the start of the pandemic, our teachers have also gone above and beyond to quickly learn and adapt to remote learning. Many of them have found creative and caring ways to stay connected to our students.
We know they have done all of these things while balancing the responsibilities of their own children and families. We can all look back and remember a great teacher who touched our lives and who continues to impact us today. I ask that we pause to reflect on the countless contributions of our CRD teachers and that in doing so we elevate a prayer for their continued blessing. Let us make sure that we thank our teachers and celebrate them this week and beyond.

Bendiciones,

One of the most important things you can do to be ready to play sports or participate in athletic clubs next year is turn in an updated Physical and Medical History THIS MONTH. Getting a physical in May or June ensures that you will be eligible for all of next year and your physical won’t expire in the middle of a season. Pick up a form from reception and turn it in to Nurse Yhajaira or Coach Sawatzki directly!
