Eligibility for Admissions

Academic

  1. Grade Level: Prospective students must be rising 9th, 10th, or 11th graders for the 2024-2025 academic year.
  2. Educational Aspirations: Students should possess a strong desire and willingness to pursue a four-year university education.
  3. A positive discipline and attendance record is highly valued, reflecting a commitment to academic and personal responsibilities.
  4. Our unique curriculum combines academic study with professional work experience, a high level of maturity and motivation is critical. Prospective students should demonstrate the capacity to excel in both aspects of our program.
  5. Openness to Religious Values: While being Catholic is not a requirement for admission, students should be open to a faith-based educational environment. Our Catholic faith influences our curriculum and values.
  6. Academic Performance: Prospective students should maintain an academic record of 70% average or above grades over the previous two years. Grades serve as an important indicator of potential success within our program.
  7. Cristo Rey Dallas does not provide Special Education services but attempts to accommodate a student’s developmental, academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs in the classroom to the best of our abilities. While we welcome students with a variety of learning differences, disabilities, and 504s/IEPs, we offer limited accommodations to support emotional and academic success. All student files are reviewed by the Admissions Committee to determine if we have the capacity to serve the student. 

 Corporate Work Study Employability

  1. Students must be at least 14 years old on or before August 1, 2024. If you have questions about this please call the admissions office.
  2. Students must be able to present legal verification of their U.S. citizenship or other forms of legal residence in the U.S.
  3. Students must have or be able to obtain a Social Security number.
  4. Students must commit to working five full days a month.
 Low to Moderate Income

  1. Financial need is the first criterion for admission and is decided according to the Cristo Rey Network standard. “Cristo Rey schools are dedicated to serving students with limited economic resources and are open to students of various faiths and cultures.”
