Student & Partner Orientation
Student and Partner Orientation Day is required by all job partners to host for their incoming team. Hosting an orientation for the incoming team of new and returning students is the job partners first opportunity to meet the team, orient students around the office, learn more about their strengths and on-board them with supporting departments.
Orientation Dates
Partners will have the opportunity to host students on site. The orientation date for Fall 2024 will be announced closer to the orientation day. This day has been cleared as non-instructional to allow students to go out to their partner offices.
Location
With the support of our transportation team, faculty, staff and volunteers, students will shuttle to your office or use public transportation. We will be responsible for ensuring the students arrive and have transportation back to campus.
Time Commitment
To ensure there is ample amount of time for the students to introduce themselves and get to know their tasks for the year ahead, we will have one shift where we can transport students to and from their placements between 9:00AM-11:00AM or 10:00AM-12:00PM. It will be optional for you to host a brief breakfast or lunch on this day.
Student Introductions & Presentation
Not only will the students have the opportunity to meet you, but you will also be encouraged to take notes as the students present their “Student Worker Profiles.” During this 20-minute PowerPoint presentation, the students will share their strengths, interests and previous work experience. After, you and your team are encouraged to ask questions.
