Cristo Rey Dallas Staff Bios

Lucy serves as the Director of Operations for the Corporate Work Study Department (CWSP). In this role, she oversees the day to day operations of CWSP, student development, student behavior, and transportation for the school. She enjoys building relationships with students, parents, and job partners to ensure that every student finds success at work. Lucy wants to continue working together with parents and job partners to ensure the success of every student worker.  

Lucy is currently continuing her education at the University of North Texas in Dallas. She is an active member of St. Augustine Catholic Church and is involved with the youth through the Neocatechumanl Way, where she also continues to grow in her adult faith. In her free time, she likes to spend time with her family and friends.

Mayra joined Cristo Rey Dallas in 2019 and serves as the Director of Communications. Mayra works with school leadership, Corporate Work Study, faculty and staff to support all school messaging. As part of the Development team, she assists with the creation and support of donor relations.

Mayra earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing and a Master’s degree in Strategic Management from the University of North Texas. Prior to joining Cristo Rey Dallas, Mayra worked in different industries in Corporate America always focusing on marketing. She’s happy to merge both her passion for communication and love for education at CRD. Mayra enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband, daughter and their fur baby. 

With 19 years of development experience and as Vice President of Advancement, Regina brings to Cristo Rey Dallas a holistic development and marketing approach to achieving goals specific to the mission of nurturing and challenging high school women and men of all faiths to recognize and realize their full potential.

Prior to CRD, Regina was Vice President of Development at Phoenix House Texas overseeing all development and marketing initiatives.  Also, she was VP of Development at ACE Scholarships where her responsibilities included launching the new nonprofit to the North Texas area. Her previous experience as Chief Development Officer at Catholic Charities Dallas included responsibilities in cultivating and expanding donor relationships and leading all marketing activities such as a rebranding campaign and ensuring the success of many fundraising events to drive revenue and brand awareness. She also worked with nonprofits like Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Dallas and Ursuline Academy of Dallas where she was instrumental in the creation of new engagement programs to expand and strengthen community relationships.

Regina graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Boston College’s Carroll School of Management. She has served as board member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society and volunteered for many years on various committees for Ursuline Academy of Dallas.

What started as a volunteer’s passion has transitioned into a fruitful fundraising career. Her favorite aspect of working alongside individuals serving others is building collaborative communities.

Diego joined Cristo Rey Dallas in 2015 and serves as the Director of College Guidance & Alumni Advising. In this role, he works with students and parents on a group and individual basis to gain an understanding of the college admissions and financial aid process, formalize partnerships with colleges and universities, and lead the college guidance and alumni advising department. Diego also teaches the 12th grade College Seminar course, serves as the CRD National Honor Society Adviser, and works closely with school leadership, faculty/staff, and CWSP to create a college-going culture on campus.

Diego graduated from Texas A&M University (WHOOP!) where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Certificate in College Advising from Columbia University. He is originally from Dallas, TX, and is the middle of 5 siblings. He enjoys spending time with family and friends, his two dogs, exercising, and traveling. 

Manny joined Cristo Rey Dallas in January 2021 and serves as the Director of Campus Services. He oversees three different departments, Security, Facilities and Maintenance. He was hired to build and lead the Campus Security Team. An essential part of getting this team and security department up and running was evaluating and updating the Emergency Preparedness Plan.  Manny took that responsibility so that today we have up-to -date security protocols.

Manny earned a Bachelor Degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Criminal Investigation from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico in Ponce, PR. The Department of Justice of Puerto Rico served as the setting to complete his internship. He assisted investigators with different criminal and family cases. He has 16 years of experience working for one of the largest telecommunication companies in the USA, where he developed a great sense of customer service and management skills. 

When he’s not working, Manny spends some of his time on the hobbies he enjoys the most like fishing, camping and enjoys the outdoors with his family.

Kenny Jaramillo serves as the Director of Admissions/Recruitment and Head Boys’ Soccer Coach. In this role, he oversees the evaluation of the admission process for prospective students and cultivates relationships with feeder schools, churches, and other organizations to build positive community relations. He is also the Assistant Athletic Director and he hopes to develop players’ skills, create a positive high school soccer experience, and help them become well-rounded young men & women.

Kenny graduated from Kansas Wesleyan University with a BA in Health Physical Education Recreation and also obtained his Master’s in Business Administration with an emphasis in Sports Management. He has three years of teaching experience and two years of experience in higher education, where he helped first-generation college students get admitted to college and mentored them through their first year on campus. He was born and raised in Dallas, TX, and had the privilege of playing soccer at the collegiate level while getting his education and meeting his second family, the Boswells. Kenny enjoys watching all Dallas sports, spending quality time with family and friends, going to music festivals, and playing with his dog, Precious.

Jason joined Cristo Rey Dallas in 2023 and serves as the Director of Finance and HR located in the heart of Pleasant Grove.  Jason holds a bachelor’s in science in Accounting from Touro University. Prior to Cristo Rey Dallas Jason worked in public and nonprofit organizations. Most recently, Jason served as controller for Torah Day School of Dallas from 2019 to 2023 steering the organization toward financial success.

Prior to that Jason worked at Blackstone’s Invitation Homes, a Texas based REIT with over 80,000 single family homes throughout the United States, which is now listed on the S&P 500 (INVH). While at Invitation Homes he served as their Fixed Asset Accountant playing a key role in creating synergies during the REIT’s 2017 merger with a Starwood Waypoint valued at $11B creating the largest SFR REIT.

Michael came to Cristo Rey Dallas in July of 2023 to serve as our New Director of Athletics. He will oversee a 7-sport, 13-level athletic program that looks to continue its growth under his leadership. The Oak Cliff, Dallas., native has more than 13 years of experience in Education in the Elementary, Middle School & High School settings, serving in various roles ranging from Coach, Teacher, Asst. Marketing Director and Director of Athletics. 
 
Michael graduated from the University of the Incarnate Word in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology. Michael also attended the University of Notre Dame and completed his Graduate Program for Inclusive Education in 2019. Most recently, Michael received his Masters Degree in Catholic Educational Leadership from Saint Louis University in 2022. Michael enjoys the outdoors, hiking, traveling, all things athletics related and sharing in these moments with his family. 

Stephanie joined Cristo Rey Dallas in 2021 and serves as a College Guidance Counselor. In this role, she helps students explore and select a variety of colleges and universities based on their academic profile and coordinates university representative visits. In addition, Stephanie teaches the 11th-grade College Seminar course. Her favorite Cristo Rey Dallas tradition is Decision Day, where seniors announce their college decision.

Stephanie is a Dallas native raised in Oak Cliff. She is a first-generation college graduate from Texas Tech University, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Global Studies, and is an Alpha Delta Pi alumna. Stephanie loves listening to podcasts and supporting small businesses. She enjoys adventures with her husband, daughter, and Goldendoodle and creating lifelong memories. 

Ana joined Cristo Rey in Dallas in 2022 and serves as the Campus Nurse, she is also part of the Family Partnership team, as well as a resource to the counseling department and athletics program. Her main role here at Cristo Rey is to ensure that we keep our campus as healthy as possible, managing electronic medical records, CPR Training Instructor and the overall well being of our students. 

Ana earned her Nursing Degree from Dallas Nursing Institute back in 2012 and has been working as a nurse for over 10 years now. She has enjoyed working in different fields of nursing through her career span ranging from Pediatric to Geriatrics. She has always loved her career but more than anything she loves her two boys, whom she enjoys spending much more time with now that she has a more well rounded job. During her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband and boys finding new and fun activities. 

Dr. Nivea Lisandra Torres is a dedicated and passionate educator who has taught students at all grade levels in Puerto Rico and Connecticut for over 24 years.   Her accomplishments range from achievements at the classroom, school, and state-wide level. 

Dr. Torres has served as principal, assistant superintendent, and superintendent of schools in Connecticut.   As a school leader, Dr. Torres brings firsthand knowledge of the challenges and realities of delivering

quality classroom instruction to all students and leading schools to success.  

Dr. Torres has also served as adjunct professor of curriculum at the University of Connecticut’s NEAG School of Education where she taught for over six years. 

She most recently served as the Executive Director of the Kindergarten Readiness Collaborative in Vero Beach, Florida.  In this capacity, she launched a nationally funded family engagement model to support early childhood education, secured sustainable funding from local and national donors, and created a streamlined process that allowed for closer integration of services to local families.

Dr. Torres holds a B.A. in Foreign Service and International Politics from the Pennsylvania State University, an M.Ed. in English as a Second Language from the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico and a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Connecticut.

On her appointment as the new principal of Cristo Rey Dallas College Prep, Dr. Torres says, “I am humbled and honored to be part of the Cristo Rey Dallas community.  I look forward to working with such a talented team who is focused on empowering students to be college and career ready while growing their spiritual faith.”    “As principal, I am committed to working collaboratively with parents, students, and faculty, to continue moving Cristo Rey Dallas into even more success.”

Jonathan is a New Orleans native that joined Cristo Rey Dallas in the first quarter of 2022.  Jonathan serves as the Alumni Advisor to ensure continuous support is provided to CRD graduates. Being a part of the College Guidance team, he assists with the college admissions process and maintaining relationships with university partners.   
 
Jonathan earned a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy Pre-Law from Xavier University of Louisiana. He comes from a family of educators and he aims to continue this work. From New Orleans to Dallas, Jonathan has taught, guided, and mentored students at various educational stages. More recently, Jonathan’s family welcomed their first child Juniper to the world, and he spends his time documenting their lives through videography and photography

Anthony serves as the Vice President of Corporate Work Study for Cristo Rey Dallas. Prior to his current role, he served as the Vice President of Advancement for Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Dallas. In this role, he was responsible for overseeing donor relationships, corporate partnerships, marketing, special events, and fundraising
through both local and federal grants as well as individual and corporate donations.

During his tenure as the VP of Advancement, Anthony was able to generate over $5 million dollars annually, break past fundraising goals at signature events, and work with other executive team members to create and implement the organization’s strategic plan. He was responsible for the vast expansion of the Boys & Girls Clubs partnerships not only across North Texas but nationally and managed over 500 individual donor and corporate relationships. Before his work at Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Dallas, he served as Manager of Corporate Relations for Cristo Rey Dallas.

He has previously worked with Incarnation House as Director of Outreach and Volunteer
Engagement. In each of his roles, Anthony has shown an ability to develop strong and
lasting partnerships within the Dallas community, and a passion for serving children/adolescents and their families across the metroplex.

Anthony is originally from Clifton, New Jersey. He graduated from Montclair State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Law and a Minor in Business Administration and Finance. He then moved to Texas where he completed his Master of Business Administration at the University of Dallas. Anthony resides in East Dallas with his wife, Katy, and their two dogs and enjoys cooking, hiking, and traveling locally and internationally.

Sr. Bridget serves within the Campus Ministry office at CRD. She is a vowed member of the School Sisters of Notre Dame (SSND), the endorsing religious congregation of CRD. In her role she works in supporting activities and programs outside of the classroom that deepen community members’ relationship with Christ, build community and provide opportunities to serve. In addition, Sr. Bridget assists students and staff of CRD in understanding and appropriating the SSND mission and charism. Sr. Bridget has a B.A. in Communications and M.A. in Religious Education. In 2015, she studied 3 months at the Augustinianum in Rome, Italy, receiving a certificate in Augustinian Spirituality.

Sr. Bridget has extensive history serving alongside youth and young adults in the areas of campus ministry, youth ministry, summer institutes and teaching. In addition to her ministry at CRD, Sr. Bridget serves as one of four North American Vocation Ministers for the SSNDs. Originally from Minnesota, Sr. Bridget has lived in Dallas since 2016 with four other SSNDs in community. She has 5 siblings, 27 nieces and nephews; enjoys playing golf when given the opportunity, likes long road trips and is grateful for the opportunity to be at CRD.

The Cristo Rey Dallas Board of Directors appointed Dr. Patrick Walsh the third President of Cristo Rey Dallas in April 2022. He was a member of a small team that established the foundation for the school opening in 2015, as the 29th school in the Cristo Rey Network.  

Patrick Walsh co-founded The First Watch Group, as a consultant in partnership with former business leaders in the Aerospace & Defense industry who have deep experience leading P&Ls that range from Small Businesses to Original Equipment Manufacturers, focused on leadership development, business growth, and team performance in the supply chain, logistics, and large-scale program management. Prior to co-founding The First Watch Group, Pat was Vice President of The Boeing Company, (NYSE: BA), Global Services Navy-Marine Corps Services business. Prior to Boeing, Pat was the Senior Vice President/General Manager at iSIGHT Partners, a FireEye Company, (NASDAQ: FEYE), and President, Strategic Programs, Academic Partnerships, LLC. 

Admiral (Ret.) Walsh was the 59th Vice Chief of Naval Operations, served as a member of the Joint Requirements Oversight Council, and provided testimony to the House Armed Services Committee, Senate Armed Services Committee, the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, and the Seapower Subcommittee on matters related to the Readiness, Manpower, and Acquisition accounts for the Department of the Navy. He held significant leadership positions over the course of a 34-year career as a carrier-based, combat fighter pilot and former Slot Pilot for the Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron, the Blue Angels, to include Chairman, Department of Leadership, Ethics & Law at the U.S. Naval Academy, and command of Strike/Fighter Squadron ONE ZERO FIVE, Carrier Air Wing ONE, Carrier Strike Group SEVEN, NAVCENT/US FIFTH Fleet and finally as Commander, US Pacific Fleet, responsible for the largest naval force in the world where he led the US military response to the Great Eastern Japan Earthquake, tsunami, and radiation triple catastrophes. 

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the US Naval Academy, a Master of Arts in Law & Diplomacy, a Doctor of Philosophy (with Distinction) in International Relations from the Fletcher School of Law & Diplomacy, Tufts University, and was a White House Fellow assigned to the Executive Office of the President in the Office of Management & Budget. Pat is a Senior Advisor to Oliver Wyman, Inc., Director and Chairman of the Technology Committee for Austin Industries, an Outside Director for CAE, USA, Inc., the Chairman of the Dallas Committee on Foreign Relations, and a Senior Fellow at Southern Methodist University. 

Pat was the second student in the history of Jesuit College Preparatory School in Dallas, Texas, to receive both the Distinguished Graduate and Distinguished Alumnus Awards. He resides in Dallas with his wife of 35 years, Andy Kaye, who is an active contributor to the non-profit community. They have 2 grown children: Jennifer is a Critical Care ICU nurse in Boston; she played on the 2012 Ursuline state championship basketball team and the College of the Holy Cross Women’s Basketball team.  Matthew received the Majis Student Leadership Award, played high school basketball, and is an alumnus of Dallas Jesuit College Prep; he received his business/finance undergraduate degree from Loyola, Marymount University, and is an Investment Banking Analyst in Los Angeles.

Laura serves as a CWSP Corporate Partnership Manager.  In this role, she oversees a selection of job partner accounts and is responsible for managing the relationships between the job partners and CRD students.  She holds a Bachelors of Science in Psychology from Texas A&M University, and is currently an MBA candidate at the University of North Texas.  Previously, Laura has worked in municipal government, multifamily property management, and for a nonprofit organization.
