Overview:
Cristo Rey Dallas College Prep is a Catholic, college preparatory school for students from households of low to moderate income. Cristo Rey Dallas nurtures and challenges young women and men of all faiths to recognize and realize their full potential as they grow to love God, respect others and serve their community. Each student participates in the Corporate Work Study Program which offers a weekly work study experience for all four years.
We are seeking a dedicated, intellectually curious and mission driven individual who is open to growth and wants to be part of our community. Who YOU are:
You are an experienced IT professional, a lifelong learner, and someone who is passionate about managing and improving the overall IT Department in a school setting. Your goal is to improve the IT Function of the School and be a creator of enterprise-wide solutions. You are looking for a job that balances managing an Information Technology Department while still allowing you to be an important contributor to repairs, set-up, and maintenance.

Purpose:
As the Director of IT, you will report to the President and the Director of Finance and HR and will have primary day-to-day responsibility for managing the IT department, planning and prioritizing future IT needs, and assisting with IT repairs.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Day to Day IT Needs
- Oversees all development and maintenance support activities of the Information Technology department, assessing the technical needs of staff and students
- Manage our IT Contractor, our outstanding tickets, and the IT Student Worker (when applicable)
- Prioritize outstanding tickets and IT needs in the school when there are many open items
- When necessary, assist with IT repairs of student Chromebooks and Faculty and Staff Laptops and resolving system and application issues
- Assist with IT and Audio Visual set up for events, meetings, or other school functions
- Occasionally working with third party vendors to rectify IT issues
- Managing student and staff loaner check out process and maintains accurate records of IT inventory
- Assist with IT onboarding for new employees and IT offboarding for employees who leave the School.
Department Management
- Consults with Leadership Team to analyze computer system needs for functional operations, to determine scope, feasibility, priorities of projects, to discuss system capacity, equipment acquisitions and strategic planning
- Managed, tracks, and reports budget expenditures for the IT Department
- Recommends and develops plans for hardware and software purchases, budgets, and staffing
- Oversees the development, implementation, and monitoring of information systems policies and controls to ensure data accuracy, security, legal and regulatory compliance
- Oversees the managing of computer operations scheduling, backup, storage, and retrieval functions
- Reviews reports of computer and peripheral equipment production, malfunction, maintenance to determine costs and impact and address problems
- Oversees the maintenance and testing of disaster recovery plans
- Manages IT Vendors for the School
- Identifies gaps in the support process and amending it accordingly
Other:
- Performs special projects as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Technical Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, or IT Management
- Experience in customer service is essential, as is 4-5 years experience in a 1st or 2nd line IT support role
- Excellent Software knowledge, including: Microsoft products, Apple iOS Systems, Chrome OS
- Excellent knowledge of networking protocols and components as well as security standards and measures
- Knowledge of hardware, such as cabling (fiber and wire), wireless products and desktop systems
- Knowledge of the Chromebook Educational Platform and device management
- Personal Qualifications
- Strong written and communication skills (written and verbal); detail oriented; team player; ability to multitask in a fast paced environment.
- Good problem-solving skills and executive function skills (task prioritization and to-do lists) as well as budget management
- Critical thinking, patience, ability to work well under pressure
- Adept at building rapport and trust with people from diverse socio-economic and cultural backgrounds, including underrepresented urban youth and first-generation college students.
- Demonstrated commitment to the mission of the Cristo Rey Network and model.
- Understand and support the mission of Cristo Rey Dallas as a private, independent, Catholic school under the endorsement of the School Sisters of Notre Dame.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
- Regularly interact with students, parents, staff and visitors.
- Work at a desk and computer screen for extended periods of time.
- Be able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
