Dear CRD Students and Families,
COVID tests will be available on Monday 02/07/22 at 7AM in the gym for students and faculty/staff who are showing symptoms of COVID. If you are planning to have your child tested at school, we are asking that you provide means of transportation, students must not ride the shuttle if getting tested. You may wait outside until the results are given and the student may either remain in school or go home, depending on the outcome of the test. Please complete THIS form and contact Nurse Yhajaira if you have any questions or concerns.
Las pruebas de COVID estarán disponibles el lunes 02/07/22 a las 7AM en el gimnasio para estudiantes y profesores/personal que muestren síntomas de COVID. Si planea que su hijo sea evaluado en la escuela, le pedimos que proporcione medios de transporte, los estudiantes no deben viajar en el servicio de transporte si se someten a la prueba. Puede esperar afuera hasta que se den los resultados y el estudiante puede permanecer en la escuela o irse a casa dependiendo del resultado de la prueba. On Friday, February 11th 2022 we will be conducting a Booster Shot Clinic. If your child has met the time frame for the administration of the booster shot, please contact Nurse Yhajaira to make an appointment.

A message from Junior Jofny Garcia Cruz: CRD will be hosting an Arts Showcase at the end of February (Feb. 23). One of the Arts that will be performed will be music. What I am asking is for musicians from around the school to band together and have us play a song for the Showcase in order to show what we are made of. You will all have until Thursday, February 10 to state if you’d like to participate so we can meet during Friday after school.
Un mensaje de Junior Jofny García Cruz: CRD realizará una exhibición de arte a fines de febrero (23 de febrero). Una de los Artes que se realizará será la música. Lo que pido es que los músicos de toda la escuela se unan y para tocar una canción durante la exhibición para mostrar de qué estamos hechos. Yareli Chavez Gonzalez entered the Dallas Museum of Art High School contest where she received Honorable Mention for her “la Catrina” artwork. She was the only freshman to enter the competition with over 200 advanced student artists. They only had one Honorable Mention and our very own CRD Art student Yareli received it. We are all very proud of her for doing an excellent job especially competing with the upper classmen.
Yareli Chavez Gonzalez ingresó al concurso de la Escuela Secundaria del Museo de Arte de Dallas donde recibió una Mención de Honor por su obra de arte “La Catrina”. Fue la única estudiante de primer año en participar en la competencia con más de 200 estudiantes de artistas avanzados. Solo tuvieron una Mención de Honor y nuestra propia estudiante de Arte de CRD, Yareli, la recibió. Todos estamos muy orgullosos de ella por hacer un excelente trabajo, especialmente compitiendo con los estudiantes de mayor grado.

Students, a reminder that clubs are still meeting, and are still welcoming new members. On February 1, 2022, re-enrollment for next year will open for all current families. We ask that all families (9th – 11th grade) complete re-enrollment no later than March 4, 2022. Re-enrollment takes about 5 minutes and will allow us to update student and family information as well as your agreement and payment plan for the next school year. There will be a $100 non-refundable re-enrollment fee that is applied to your total amount due. Please know re-enrollment can be done over the phone, via Zoom, or in-person with an appointment. Please have your banking account number to major credit card available during your appointment.
