Dear CRD Students and Parents,
We send warm New Year Greetings to you and your family! May this new calendar year be an opportunity for us to fill our hearts with joy, peace, and love for all.
This week I would like to send a reminder about expectations outlined in our CRD Student Handbook to ensure that your student has a successful, safe, and productive second semester.
Please take the time to review each item carefully and discuss it with your students.
CRD’s Dress Code and Appearance Guidelines:
The professional appearance and conduct of the students of Cristo Rey Dallas has a powerful impact on relationships with members of our community and co-workers in the workplace.
Students must be in full uniform while at Cristo Rey Dallas, to/from/at work, at special events, and during all field trips unless otherwise specified by Cristo Rey Dallas. This includes being in uniform during arrival and dismissal hours. Students must continue to be respectful of their uniform and appearance.
Please make sure that your student is wearing a CRD jacket or hoodie. You can purchase one at Affordable Uniforms or visit our CRD Store for more athletic gear.
We also ask that you remind your students to always wear their CRD ID. This is an important safety feature of our campus to ensure that only CRD students and staff have access to our doors and our facility.
Students who are not complying with these CRD Student Handbook Expectations will receive demerits recorded in their student record on Infinite Campus.
Tardies/Absences
Please note that per state law to receive credit for a class, a student is required to attend school for at least 90 percent of the days the class is offered. Students with excessive absences may lose credit. For seniors, this means that they will not be able to graduate. For freshmen, sophomores, and juniors, students cannot be promoted to the next grade level.
After School Detention for students who have reached an excess of nine tardies and/or have discipline demerits will restart Friday, January 19th from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. in Room 107 of the Academic Building.

Personal Electronic Devices
Cell phones and other personal electronic devices are only permitted in class with the stated permission of the teacher of that specific class.
Otherwise, cell phones and other personal electronic devices should always be stored in the student’s backpack (or placed in a classroom bin/basket) out of the view of the teacher. If a teacher requests that students cease using any electronic device, then the students must put the devices away and out of view.
Teachers reserve the right to take cell phones away and turn them in to administration. Students will receive a demerit and/or appropriate consequence for the offense.
Please note that repeated offenses will result in a student losing the privilege of carrying a cell phone during school hours.

Esta semana me gustaría enviar un recordatorio sobre las expectativas descritas en nuestro Manual del estudiante de CRD para garantizar que su estudiante tenga un segundo semestre exitoso, seguro y productivo.

Código de vestimenta y pautas de apariencia de CRD:
La apariencia y conducta profesional de los estudiantes de Cristo Rey Dallas tiene un impacto poderoso en las relaciones con los miembros de nuestra comunidad y compañeros de trabajo en el lugar de trabajo.
Los estudiantes deben usar el uniforme completo mientras estén en Cristo Rey Dallas, hacia/desde/en el trabajo, en eventos especiales y durante todas las excursiones, a menos que Cristo Rey Dallas especifique lo contrario. Los estudiantes que no cumplan con estas Expectativas del Manual Estudiantil de CRD recibirán deméritos registrados en su expediente estudiantil en Infinite Campus.
Tardanzas/Ausencias
Tenga en cuenta que, según la ley estatal, para recibir crédito por una clase, un estudiante debe asistir a la escuela al menos el 90 por ciento de los días que se ofrece la clase. Los estudiantes con ausencias excesivas pueden perder crédito. Para los estudiantes SENIORS, esto significa que no podrán graduarse. Para los estudiantes de primer, segundo y tercer año, los estudiantes no pueden ser promovidos al siguiente nivel de grado.
La detención después de clases para los estudiantes que hayan alcanzado un exceso de nueve tardanzas y/o tengan deméritos disciplinarios se reiniciará el viernes 19 de enero de 3:30 a 5:00 p. m. en el Salón 107 del Edificio Académico.
No dude en comunicarse con la Sra. Garza si tiene preguntas sobre el registro de asistencia de su estudiante.
Dispositivos electrónicos personales
Los teléfonos celulares y otros dispositivos electrónicos personales solo se permiten en clase con el permiso declarado del maestro de esa clase específica.
De lo contrario, los teléfonos celulares y otros dispositivos electrónicos personales siempre deben guardarse en la mochila del estudiante (o colocarse en un contenedor/canasta del salón de clases) fuera de la vista del maestro. Si un maestro solicita que los estudiantes dejen de usar cualquier dispositivo electrónico, entonces los estudiantes deben guardar los dispositivos fuera de la vista.
Los maestros se reservan el derecho de retirar los teléfonos celulares y entregarlos a la administración. Los estudiantes recibirán un demérito y/o una consecuencia apropiada por la infracción.
Tenga en cuenta que las ofensas repetidas resultarán en que el estudiante pierda el privilegio de llevar un teléfono celular durante el horario escolar.
