Dear CRD Students and Parents,
We are looking forward to seeing you for Parent Teacher Conferences. Please note that there has been a change in the date of our Parent/Teacher Conferences.
Conferences are now scheduled for Monday, October 24th, 2022, from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
As you prepare to meet with your child’s teachers, please take the time to review the recommendations below:
Before the conference
Ask your child how they feel about school.
Ask your child if there is anything that they want you to talk about with their teacher.
Tell your child that you and the teacher are meeting to help them.
Make a list of topics that you want to talk about with the teacher.
Prepare a list of questions such as:
- What are my child’s strongest and weakest subjects?
- Does my child hand homework in on time?
- Does my child participate in class?
- Does my child seem happy at school?
- What can I do at home to help?
During the conference
Be on time (or early) for the meeting.
End the meeting on time.
Other parents will probably have a conference after yours.
Relax and be yourself.
Stay calm during the conference.
Ask the most important questions first.
Ask for explanations of anything you don’t understand.
Ask your child’s teacher for ways that you can help your child at home.
Thank the teacher.
After the conference
Talk about the conference with your child.
Talk about the positive points and be direct about problems.
Tell your child about any plans you and the teacher created.
Keep in touch with the teacher during the school year.

Please help us welcome Cindy Rodriguez to the admissions department, who is an intern from the University of Texas in Dallas. Cindy Rodriguez is a student at UNT Dallas currently working towards her Bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in management. Ms. Rodriguez is a first-generation college student and will be the first in her family to graduate college. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, her cat, reading, and trying new foods. This will be Ms. Rodriguez’s first year at Cristo Rey Dallas as a Family Partnership Intern. She is so excited to get to know all the new faces around campus and be a part of the Cristo Rey Dallas family. Ms. Rodriguez hopes to make a lasting impact on students and their families this year and guide them to success.
Ayúdenos a darle la bienvenida a Cindy Rodríguez al departamento de admisiones. Cindy Rodríguez es una estudiante de UNT Dallas que actualmente trabaja para obtener su licenciatura en psicología con especialización en administración. La Senorita. Rodríguez es una estudiante universitaria de primera generación y será la primera en su familia en graduarse de la universidad. En su tiempo libre, disfruta pasar tiempo con su familia y amigos, su gato, leer y probar nuevos alimentos. Este será el primer año de la Senorita Rodríguez en Cristo Rey Dallas donde su enfoque sera crear un calendario de clases para los padres de CRD. - The Campus Security team will be present for the event
- Large bags will be subject to a search
- Breathalyzer will be used IF deemed necessary by campus security

On October 29th CRD is partnering with the MLK Center to celebrate the 48th annual Harmbee event. This is a family event and we invite everyone to join us. For more information please see the flyer.
