Cristo Rey Dallas College Prep (CRD) is a Catholic, college preparatory school for students of all faiths who cannot otherwise afford a private education. CRD nurtures and challenges young women and men to recognize and realize their full potential as they grow to love God, respect others and serve their community. Each student participates in the Corporate Work Study Program (CWSP) which offers a weekly work study experience for all four years.

Position Summary

Join an innovating, dynamic, and mission-based school which values our faculty and students.  Members of the Cristo Rey Dallas Faculty are primarily responsible for creating and maintaining a culture of learning and who want to be a part of a transformative educational community like no other in our area.

What You’ll Do

  • Teach a challenging college preparatory curriculum that addresses the current academic levels of students while also ensuring their readiness for the College Board exams
  • Support the faith formation of students through, but not limited to, attending Mass, attending retreats, and leading prayer
  • Provide regular feedback to students about their work
  • use data from daily exit tickets and interim assessments to inform instructional decisions
  • Communicate regularly to families about the progress of students
  • Enforce and uphold school’s values, policies, and culture
  • Willing to work a longer academic day and year
  • Serve as an advisor which will include teaching lessons on character development
  • Offer tutoring before and after school
  • Assist with additional areas as needed

Who You Are

  • A minimum of 2 years of successful teaching experience in an urban or Catholic school setting
  • Teacher’s Certification strongly preferred
    • Theology teacher is required to be a practicing Catholic and hold a degree in theology from a Catholic university
  • Demonstrated commitment to Catholic, faith-based education
  • Adaptable and able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Available to begin working for the 2023-2024 school year, which begin July __, 2023
